Last week Allan Rosenthal of Phoenix custom cabinet company Linear Fine Woodworking was named a Design Icon by Sources For Design Magazine at their Issue 8 Premiere Party. The Phoenix-based publication is a stunning Digital Magazine featuring the work of Iconic Design Professionals from across the Valley. Think of it as an online hub for interior designers, builders, architects, and landscape designers. Professionals can keep up with the latest work and local design trends as well as use it as a digital resource directory for industry products and services.
The magazine releases six issues a year and chooses a design icon for each category in that issue. Some of the previous icons that have been awarded were Vernon D. Swaback, a prolific architect from the Phoenix valley. Other notable names are Al Beadle, the well known modernist architect who passed in the late 90s, Brent Kendle from Brent Kendle Design Collaborative, and premier Phoenix interior designer Janet Brooks.
Featured in the issues was this North Phoenix home – a modern design project that featured an earthy cyan hue, which was juxtaposed by light wood accents. The minimal design placed in front of a grey geometric textured wall created an eye-catching design and experience.
